Privacy policy
This is a courtesy translation. In case of doubt, the German version applies.
Thank you for visiting our website. Protecting your personal data matters to us. Below, in accordance with Art. 13 of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), we explain which data is processed when you visit this website, for what purpose and on what legal basis.
1. Controller
The controller responsible for data processing on this website is:
Markus Dudek
The Turn – a positive change agency
Berliner Straße 35
16540 Hohen Neuendorf, Germany
Email: hello@theturn.agency
2. Hosting and server log files
This website is hosted by Alfahosting GmbH, Ankerstraße 3b, 06108 Halle (Saale), Germany. When you access the website, the server automatically collects information that your browser transmits and stores it in server log files. This includes:
- IP address of the requesting device
- date and time of access
- page or file requested and amount of data transferred
- website from which the access was made (referrer URL)
- browser and operating system used
This processing is necessary to provide the website technically and to ensure its security and stability, for example to fend off attacks. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in the secure and functional operation of the website. The log files are not combined with other data sources and are deleted automatically after a short period, unless further retention is required as evidence in an individual case.
We have concluded a data processing agreement with the host pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR. The host processes the data solely in accordance with our instructions.
3. SSL/TLS encryption
For security reasons this website uses SSL/TLS encryption. You can recognise an encrypted connection by “https://” in your browser’s address bar and by the padlock symbol.
4. No cookies, no tracking
This website does not set cookies and does not use analytics or tracking tools, advertising networks or social media plugins. No user profiles are created.
5. Fonts and content
All fonts, images and scripts are loaded directly from our own web server. Visiting this website does not establish a connection to third-party servers such as Google Fonts or content delivery networks.
6. Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your email address, your name (if provided) and the content of your message in order to handle and answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR where your enquiry relates to a contract or to pre-contractual measures, and otherwise Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in answering your enquiry.
Your data will be deleted once your enquiry has been fully dealt with, unless statutory retention obligations, for example under commercial or tax law, prevent this. Emails are sent and received via our host’s servers (see section 2).
7. Disclosure of data
Your personal data will only be passed on to third parties if this is necessary to perform a contract, if you have expressly consented, or if we are legally obliged to do so. Data is not transferred to countries outside the European Union.
8. Your rights
Within the scope of the statutory provisions, you have the right at any time to:
- access the data we store about you (Art. 15 GDPR)
- rectification of inaccurate data (Art. 16 GDPR)
- erasure of your data (Art. 17 GDPR)
- restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- withdraw any consent given, with effect for the future (Art. 7(3) GDPR)
Simply contact us at hello@theturn.agency.
9. Right to object
Where we process your data on the basis of legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR), you have the right to object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR). We will then no longer process the data unless we can demonstrate compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, or the processing serves the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims.
10. Right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data infringes the GDPR. The authority responsible for us is:
Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz und für das Recht auf Akteneinsicht Brandenburg
Stahnsdorfer Damm 77
14532 Kleinmachnow, Germany
www.lda.brandenburg.de
11. Obligation to provide data and automated decision-making
You are under no legal or contractual obligation to provide us with personal data. Without the server log data, however, the website cannot be delivered technically. No automated decision-making, including profiling, takes place.
12. Status of this privacy policy
This privacy policy is current as of October 2026. We will update it as soon as the website or the legal requirements change, for example if a contact form or analytics tools are added.
